Your cute pet may try to convince you that veterinary care isn’t necessary, but don’t listen to her! Kitties should be microchipped and spayed or neutered. It’s also important to keep up with Fluffy’s vaccines and parasite control. In between visits, watch for any unusual behavior or vocalizations that could indicate illness. If you notice anything amiss, contact your vet immediately. Cats sometimes don’t let on that they aren’t feeling well until they are quite ill, so your pet could be very sick by the time you notice anything amiss.
Proper nourishment is critical to your cat’s health and well-being. Make sure that your furball is getting a good, nourishing diet, but don’t go overboard with fatty snacks. While some of our feline buddies are quite finicky, others will eat just about anything. Fluffy may be cute when she’s eating donuts or pizza, but she’ll be much healthier with an appropriate treat, like a little tuna. Ask your vet for specific recommendations, including portion sizes and suitable snacks.
Our frisky feline friends are both safer and healthier living indoors. We recommend keeping your furball inside. It’s also a good idea to do some petproofing. Keep toxic plants, medicine, chemicals, plastic bags and ties, and small or sharp objects well out of paws’ reach.
Purrs and Smug Looks
Stress and discomfort can really take a toll on our feline pals! Keep your kitty entertained and happy by offering her lots of comfy beds and some pet furniture. Your furball will also appreciate a good window view. Of course, cats need to feel loved to really be happy. Talk to Fluffy, play with her, and let her snooze on your lap.
